So, remember that time that I said I would be back to blogging by July 5th? Yeah, never trust me with dates. Well, unless it's the premiere of the seventh season of Doctor Who. Believe me, I'll remember that date. But anyways, I really don't have an excuse for not posting sooner. I mean, it's not like I've been doing anything with my time. Well, actually I have been hanging out with friends/boyfriend since I got back from my family vacation. I was taking these pictures right before people were coming to my house a.k.a the only time I look okay in pictures. Because really, if I'm not hanging out with people, I won't shower. Literally.
And there's your gross fact about me for the day!

Quick Update

Hey you guys, so I'm sorry I've been MIA for the past few days. I'm on a family trip in the Northeast and unfortunately internet connection is limited, so I will not be blogging again until July 5th! So until then, my lovely friends! Miss you already!

Today Charlotte and I went to our old elementary school playground to take some pictures. I planned to be super cute and ride a bike there, but out of the four bikes my family owns, all of them were broken. And so, I had to resign myself to being slightly less cute and drove my car there.
Oh, and while we were there, someone got arrested down the street. Also, I'm super nosy and wanted to know what was happening:

I've decided that if my career as a fashion blogger fails, I can become a CIA agent. Except, I think I'd be really bad at going undercover. I wouldn't be able to wear ugly clothes if they required me to.

And, Char and I are super adorable and made this video:

Wish List Monday

Just a quick update on what I'm currently coveting. Modcloth will be the death of my savings account!

Oh, and:

Here is my future husband, by the way. Isn't he adorable?

Red Hair, Don't Care

So this was one of the weeks of my infamous red hair. I had always wanted to dye my hair red, but according to school policy, it was too distracting. And so I had to wait until summer. Of course, then, once I had my hair dyed fire engine red, it came time for me to get a summer job. Apparently people won't hire you if you have bright red hair. I then went to my salon, bleached my hair three times, dyed it twice, and ended up with a slightly more natural color. According to my hairdresser, red is the hardest color molecule to get rid of.

I should probably research more things like this before doing stuff like dying my hair bright red. In case anyone's interested, I used Splat Hair Colors in Luscious Raspberry. I loved the color it was for the first week (see above pictures) but I did have a few qualms. One, every time my hair got wet, it would drip red dye, and now my bathroom and shower are pink. Another is that is faded very quickly. By the second week I could see my blonde hair showing through the red. I guess I shouln't have been expecting much from a drugstore purchase, but I would have appreciated a little better quality.

Needless to say, next time I dye my hair an extreme color like that, I'll be doing more research on how exactly to preserve the color and to still get hired. :)

I think I just realized how much I wear those shoes. Thank goodness I got some new sandals, otherwise this blog would get super boring super fast. I just found these pictures on my computer and wanted to get them into a post before I forgot about them again and ended up posting them in like December and then it would just be awkward. Really, nothing goes on in my life that you guys would find interesting. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get back from Europe, so I haven't seen him at all. I spent a very fun day today driving to different garage sales all over town with my four best friends and it was so amazing. My friend Mia found a llama sweater for a dollar and my friend Madison got roller blades for four dollars. Charlotte found a floral picture frame for 50 cents, which I believe was the best bargain of the day. After we finished garage sale-ing, we went to a local vintage shop and I found a gorgeous lace dress that fits me and that I love. Curse my peniless life! But, oh well, that's the same sad montage of basically every high school student.

This was taken the last week of school, I think. I'm surprised I managed to look human then, as finals were super stressful along with finding out about all of our summer homework and the 364 pages of Victorian literature we have to read, not to mention Macbeth and that's only for English.
The first thing I did after finding out about our assignment is Google the best movie version of Wuthering Heights, yet was then kindly informed that the "best version" was only available in the UK. And so I resigned myself to reading the book.
I ususally don't mind Victorian lit, I've been an avid Jane Austen fan for years now and Jane
Eyre is one of my favorite books, but I guess my issue with Wuthering Heights is that not a single character in the story is likable. I genuinely hate all of them. I don't like reading things about people I don't like, I do that enough on my Facebook newsfeed and so I'm plodding through the last couple hundred pages of Wuthering Heights slowly but surely. Fortunately I have things like One Direction and Supernatural to help me along my way.
